Training & Match Kit
At Wolverhampton Olympic players will be involved in both training and matches. There are various requirements that must be followed according to the participation of the player. If you are unsure of any of the guidance please either contact the club or talk to your teams coaching team.

Club Kit
All players are required to attend in appropriate football kit. This must include suitable footwear for the playing surface and shin pads.
For players who pay a club membership they will be supplied with the following club kit-
-
Blue training top
-
Blue shorts (for training and match days)
-
Blue socks (for training and match days)
-
Yellow match day shirt
-
Blue rain jacket (for training and match days)
Footwear
Suitable football boots (no metal studs) are to be worn for all matches and training on grass pitches. Please note that boots are checked prior to each game by the referee to ensure suitability. Players will not be allowed to play if they are not wearing suitable footwear.

For training, suitable trainers or astro trainers are required for the 2G hockey surface at Aldersly Leisure centre. The astro turf is not suitable for football boots. Trainers may be worn but please ensure a good grip as the surface can be slippy when wet.

For 3G astro pitches, astro trainers or football boots (must be clean) can be used. These surfaces have rubber granules that allow studs to sink into the surface to imitate a grass pitch.

During summer months, when grass pitches are hard, suitable trainers will be permitted for training or when advised by your teams manager for matches.
Jewellery
In line with FA rules, no jewellery, including ear rings are allowed to be worn when training or during a match. Tape is not permitted to be used to cover these items. Where players are unable to remove these items, for example when ears have recently been pierced, then they will not be allowed to participate. These rules, from the FA, are to ensure the safety of both the player and the other players taking part.
Cold and inclement weather
With the football season running through the winter months, it is essential that players attend training or matches dressed appropriates for the weather conditions. Players who attend, and are not appropriately dressed for the conditions, may be asked to return to their parents/guardians to ensure their own welfare.

During matches, players are allowed to wear thermal layers (skins) to remain warm. Players should also attend matches with additional clothing such as jackets, hats and gloves for times when they are not on the pitch.
For training, players can also wear the above mentioned items, along with tracksuit bottoms or similar to retain warmth during these sessions.
